[RE-wrenches] Tesla Powerwall Emergency Stop Button

Has anyone looked at NEC 2020?  Articles 480.7(B) /Storage Batteries/ 
and 706.15 (A)/Energy Storage Systems/ both require an external 
emergency disconnect for the batteries. That "may" be what the AHJ is 
thinking?  Off grid design never got to be so much fun....
