Sunfrost noise [RE-wrenches]

Donna,
I have a Sun frost RF 19 here. There is virtually no compressor noise, and
no fan noise.
When I am wondering what compressor is running I have to feel them to find
out !!
The only noise that it makes is the temperature control relay when it clicks
on and off to start a compressor, that tells you how silent it is. I only
hear the relay when the TV is off and everything is dead silent in the
house, (not very often). There is no vibration at all that I can feel.
With the tiny compressors that they use noise and vibration are not a
problem, at least not that I have ever heard of.
The cooling fan in the Whispers transformer box is much louder when the wind
is blowing than the Sun Frost. The fan is not objectionable, just there in
the background.

Later,
Bob Ellison

Hi folks,

I have a client who wants a Sunfrost but her builder says she'll be sorry
because electric refrigerators will vibrate and make a lot of noise in a
pumice house. Anyone heard anything about this?
On the topic of referrals, traveling, etc., I'm pretty willing to go
anywhere (so far) that someone has been willing to pay my way. I'd love to
hear from those of you who have done this and made it work, as far as what
tools to take with, how to package them, etc. I'm happy to say that I have
a job lined up in Hawaii this winter and just returned from a trip to
Alaska, where I'd really like to help get people weaned off the generators.
Any tips will be apprciated! Donna
