Travis,
    I had to reply to this one...I hit this wall several times a week! One one
hand, I enjoy the challenge of learning the many aspects of this industry. On
the other hand, I'm constantly frustrated by the overwhelming amount of
knowledge I must gain (and fairly quickly) in order to do a professional job.
Of course, if it was easy, everybody would be doing it and a lot of us would be
out of a job!
    So....with that said...one of the main reasons for subscribing to this list
is to tap into the collective experience here. Although I think a certain
degree of specialization might be nice,  I still have to agree with Robert
Heinlein when he said...."specialization is for insects."
