 Its is always best to check with the manufacture since an improper pressure
at the orifice will cause incomplete mixing of the air and propane. This
will cause a dirty flame producing carbon monoxide.  Some regulators require
a spring replacement and others have a item that is reversed or inserted
into the regulator that compresses the spring for the higher pressure. Note
that the pressure must be adjusted to a specified pressure as provided by
the manufacture. To be safe the manufacture must be consulted since there
are different methods to do the conversion. Combustion is an area that must
be done right. Looking right is not enough.
