SW4048 giving me grief [RE-wrenches]

You set the HVD to 57 volts and its still bubbling the batteries.  You did
not say if the battery voltage was at 57 or had exceeded it?  If not
exceeded, its a function of the batteries, set it lower. If it has gone 1 or
2 or so volts over 57, it can be a function of the temp compensation in the
inverter, and you can set the voltage etc to account for that. Are you using
the temp sensor and is it attached to the battery?

The drill chargers should not be having trouble on a sine wave in my
experience.  I have not heard of any interference by the Trace waveform of
SW to these but there are two other things that can do it that should be
easy to check.
1.  Did you check the actual AC voltage input to them? It happened with the
generator running so that could be a voltage factor. I did have one melt
down but the cause turned out to be that rain had flooded the Makita charger
overnight.
2. This may be the real answer:  If the inverter goes into search mode and
back out, cycling with a partial load from just the charger on overnight,
each time it starts up and shuts down it can reset the cordless tool
automatic charger to full bulk mode for a few seconds, so constant cycling
like that is a hazard to the chargers. And it will do that if the charger is
the only load.
