SW4048 giving me grief [RE-wrenches]

	Donna;

	After thinking about it some more, I'll offer a few more thoughts about
your predicament:

	1) You don't mention it , but if there are PV's or other DC sources of
charging current for the batteries, you'll need a charge controller that
can handle the full DC current of the output of the array. The SW inverters
can only act as charge controllers in SELL mode *while connected to the
grid*, so they have somewhere to pump the extra current when the batteries
become full.

	2) Your systems may never be entering 'FLOAT' mode due to generator
over/under voltage/frequency. Watch the "AC 2 in good" LED on the front
panel. If it flashes intermittently, and the "inverting" LED comes on, your
inverter has disconnected from the generator for some reason. When this
happens, the bulk charge timer is reset and you have to wait until the
absorption time (Menu 10-Battery Charging) has been satisfied all over
again. If this is happening, try to find out and correct the reason for the
disconnect (the generator voltage or frequency is out of bounds).You might
also try setting the absorption time lower than the default, but this is a
stop-gap measure, it should run all day and night in float, as long as the
generator isn't shut off. Which brings up another item, is the generator
being shut off a lot? Or perhaps heavy loads are making the line voltage
sag below the inverters lower limit?

	3) 62 volts sounds a lot like an equalizing voltage. Are you sure that the
inverter is in 'SEARCH' or 'ON' mode, not 'EQ' (equalize)?

	Anybody else think of anything not mentioned here?
