Lockable Disconnect. [RE-wrenches]

I just installed one of these on a pending Vt application in CVPS 
territory. We'll see in a month or so whether or not CVPS has a problem 
with this type of switch. The disconnection is visible, and the door can be 
locked open with the pullout piece locked to the padlock so that it cannot 
be reinserted. Not quite like a disconnect switch, but meets all the codes 
and appears to meet VOSHA. (I reviewed the VOSHA codes during the current 
round of NEt Metering negotiations that we are in, trying to get rid of the 
disconnect requirement.)

These pullouts are much cheaper (and physically smaller) than a disco. They 
were suggested to me by John Wiles at Sandia, so seems they "should" be 
acceptable.

Could use a 60 A rainproof non-fused pullout type Air Conditioning
disconnect.  There are many manufacturers, most always are lockable, they
are cheep and common.  There is a blade type pullout switch which is
inverted to turn off.  I have never seen a warning that they are non-load
breaking.  Good luck.
