Piss poor Trace SW preformance in "sell" mode. [RE-wrenches]

Isn't there 2 operation using energy?

1) Inverter Idle Current
2) Battery Charging

I don't think that published idle current takes into account float charging
batteries from an AC source.

Idle current of 15 watts X 24 hours = 360 watt hours  (assuming 15 watts is
correct)
Float Charging equals 750 watt hours - 360 watt hours = 390 watt hours to
keep the batteries charged

How does that sound?  So for twice the battery bank you'd take 390 whs x 2
to get the float charging losses.

I haven't though this through much but wouldn't there be less battery
charging from the ac source if you adjusted to the float voltage down.  This
would allow the batteries to self discharge during the night and the solar
would bring them back up to the sell voltage the next day.  Sounds too
simple so it probably isn't the answer.

The high self discharge rates of flooded wet lead acid cells makes a pretty
argument for AGM type batteries in grid tied applications where selling back
was important.
