That's what tech support told you? If so I would call again and press them.
In my experience they have responded well to a sternly worded email in the
rare occasion that I got a difficult representative.
It's funny I often hear complaints about them but my experience has been
great over the years. Never once had an RMA denied. Sometimes I have had to
be persistent but nothing ridiculous.
