[RE-wrenches] Steel pipe purlins

Colleagues:



I have been asked to bid on installation of PV on a steel barn.  The
mounting area is an awning with steel pipe purlins.  See photo below of a
section of the plans.





I have mounted racking to a lot of different steel structures, but never
one with steel pipe purlins.  I would normally use the EJOTs with thread
forming shanks, but I don’t know how well they will work in steel pipe.



Has anyone else ever faced this situation?



Any help is appreciated.
