[RE-wrenches] ] Dusty off -grid conditions

I was lucky to spend 10 years on my sailboat mostly in the tropics doing
marine electronics.
I learned right away that the BMU (basic marine unit) was about (10) one
hundred dollar bills.
One needs to keep many BMU's to replace bad electronics (sealed or wide
open) on board.
I worked on dozens of really nice boats and they all were the same. Keep
lots of BMU's!
1/8 inch holes with metal screens seemed to be the best.
The worst electronics were the Heart interface inverters. Just about all
the airports had people carrying them to get fixed.
The best thing about BMU's is you can always burn them and create heat to
get rid of the moisture.

Sarcastic today after about 40 days of smoke, wildfires, and a very
unusual for here stint of 100+ days. --Dave
