HI All,

I have found out the the following that might come in handy.

If you have a DOA, OB will take the RMA then contact the supplier who sent it to you, and have them send replacement which will be brand new. And DOA actually is up to between 1-2 months if I understood correctly.

But all this takes way more time. 2 weeks and counting in my case. And so I would try calling your supplier first to see if they’ll take care of it.

However if you want something faster, and you didn’t care about getting brand new ( but refurbished) then don’t say its a DOA and it’’ll be the normal same day or next day drop ship from OB.

Hope this helps.

I had checked voltage in at the FM's terminals...good, disconnected from terminals and shorted one string of 3 PVs (low light) and got the correct amps. Display was on but would not wake up to charge. It was dead. Obviously dead!

I waited and called back in a couple days hoping to get someone else who would just send me an RMA...same person, insisting I test it first. Thanks. Knowing it was dead, I took a new one off the shelf out to the install and it worked fine. Called OB back, told them what I did and they sent a new (refurb?) one that day with a return shipping label for the dead one. The whole process took about three weeks...too long.
