[RE-wrenches] Square D Disconnects mounted on the slope of the roof.

Kirpal,

I'm not aware of a 15-degree allowance for NEMA 3R. Others on this forum may
be more familiar. Bottom line, if the installation instructions do no
specifically allow for an angle, you have to assume that vertical is the
only allowable orientation.

The only rooftop disconnects that I know of that can be mounted in the plane
of the roof would be a NEMA 4 disconnect combiner. Midnite Solar might have
something in low angle NEMA 3R. Way back in the day, Trace had their switch
combiner that could be mounted at 3:12.

Bill.

15 degrees off of vertical is my understanding for standard RBs. So no,
can't do that. Cheers good friend.

Hi Folks!!!

Anyone aware of minimum slope requirements for Square D 321RB
disconnects....Can they be mounted on rails parallel to the slope of the
roof like Outback and Midnite solar combiner boxes(down to a 3/12 pitch)

I can't seem to find any notes stating the limitations in manufacturer
documentation...... They are NEMA 3 of course....

Thanks in advance for any direction you can provide....
