[RE-wrenches] Oil Heating / Solar Thermal

Thermal Wrenches,
Has anyone ever heated an oil tank with thermal collectors?  
Specifically, I wonder if the oil itself can be pumped through the collectors ( drainback or otherwise ) 
This is for an asphalt batch plant.....
