Jeremy,

There were many systems that used Bray oil for a heat transfer fluid back
in the 80s.
However, I would do it with a heat exchanger because some oils can be
corrosive to gaskets and the thermal diffusivity of oil is relatively poor
when compared to water or glycol.  Also, the increased viscosity might
force you to use more expensive pump than with glycol or water, and mess up
the flow regime in the panels.
