[RE-wrenches] Help me understand Gen vs XW

I had a similar problem with the same type system. When the generator would be called for it would turn on and the XW would reject it. This is also a Y2K system. It would work fine if the generator was started manually. When I put a power quality meter on the generator output I got really wild freq. readings. This LP generator has
7000 hours on it and the customer bought it on-line from who knows where.

The inverter would not maintain a transfer to the generator. After about an hour on the phone with tech support, the tech searched previous calls and announced that there is a known incompatibility between the Kohler RES15 and a certain version of the XW firmware. I was advised to upgrade the firmware.
