[RE-wrenches] Mounting to metal roofs and thermal expansion

Troy,

It is my current understanding that some manufacturers of metal roofing 
will not warranty their products if clamps are used on the standing 
seams. The reason given is that clamping the seams prevents the normal 
movement of the roofing during expansion and contraction. I can't say 
which company it is, but it's a big one.
