Hi Jeff,
Arizona does have an exemption on state sales tax for solar systems, but
cities sometimes still take their cut. Here in Tucson, we have to
charge 2%, but most customers are pleased to be paying that, rather than
8%. In the unincorporated areas in southern AZ, we have no sales taxes,
which can sometimes help us in making a sale.
