sales tax on RE [RE-wrenches]

I realize each state has different types of business taxes, fuel taxes, use taxes, sales taxes, property taxes, utility taxes, and taxes on taxes, but wanted to see if anyone has a state sales tax exemption on solar system installs. If not, how do you handle sales taxes. For example, our state has a 5% sales tax on all materials, but not on labor. As you know, adding $1,400 or more to the price of a solar system just for sales tax could extend the savings payback many years if you also have low utility rates. How does this affect your business??
