Andrew Truitt wrote about the preferred strut channel finish...and about galvanically isolating steel strut from aluminum L-feet.

Mick says: Have you considered using strut channel made of aluminum? ...or stainless steel? www.mcmaster.com has both of these, but the aluminum is mill finish, not clear anodized.

With steel strut, no matter how good the finish is, if you cut it you'll have unprotected steel on the cut edge. Spray galvanizing in a can, anyone?
