Probably, but if you need a little cutover time, a decent power conditioner will often do the trick.  Oneac units are all over eBay at ~5% of new pricing (and there's nothing in there that will wear out.)   You do lose a couple percent in the transformer, but it pretty well guarantees beautiful AC to the loads.
