XW repair question for Mark Edmunds [RE-wrenches]

I've been asked about a "genset plus" type power system for an off-grid
radio station in Guinea, West Africa. The radio station has American
type equipment throughout, so it needs 120/240 60 hertz power...and they
have a big American style generator to drive the battery recharge. There
is no PV, as there's no room for it on the site.

I suggested a pair of XW6048 inverter/chargers plus doo-dads. My
question is this: if one of the inverters should break, how far would
they have to transport it in order to get it repaired in the Eastern
hemisphere?

Would the five year warranty still be valid if these machines are
shipped to Africa?

Thanks,

Mick Abraham, Proprietor
