Casio makes ruggedized & waterproof phones which should become available in the US this summer.  I got a chance to play with a GzOne at CTIA and it is a work of art <http://www.mobileburn.com/gallery.jsp?Id=2275>  You have to get your hands on it to appreciate the build quality -- the photos do not do it justice.


The Motorola Razr gets good marks from any users for its reception, but the UI is needlessly confusing IMO.
