Hi Peter;

I've seen this same problem with AGC glass and ceramic fuse holders. Old
auto fuse blocks and Trace C30s were notorius for this problem. I could
always tell with glass fuses because the link would blow on one end
instead of the middle. I would just bypass the whole assembly with
another type of fuse and holder. I've seen this also with some Manus' PV
combiner fuse blocks too.
Class T & RK 5 fuses and holders don't seem to have this problem. The
non listed ATC spade fuses are even better. I group the AGC, ABC, etc.
fuse holders in the same category as 12 volt cigarette lighter
connectors: generally junk waiting to overheat and meltdown. I stay away
from all of those types except for low current applications (< 5 amps).
I'm sorry to hear a relatively respectable Manu like Shell has put their
name on this stuff. As always, its going to hurt the entire industry on
the percieved reliability issue.
