120 degree azimuth [RE-wrenches]

Yeah, here in Colorado we periodically install systems with azimuths ranging
from 90 to 270. Our rebate program is similar to how CSI is intended to be
as it includes a performance-based component....whereby a production
estimate from PVWATTS can be used to reduce (or even increase) the total
rebate amount if the production is considered to be more than +/- 10%
different from a "baseline" production estimate (when tilt = latitude,
azimuth = 180). We therefore always check to see if there's any impact on
the rebate. So far in the first year of our incentive program, this idea
seems to be working pretty well and has helped prevent rebates from being
paid for systems that are installed to face north, etc....

Other than something like that, I would also recommend checking into the
utilities' time-of-use metering, if they offer it. We recently had a
utility here in Colorado change their TOU peak billing time to start later
in the day at 2pm....so that the new peak billing window is now from 2pm to
9pm.....which makes an east-facing PV system much less attractive from a
financial perspective.
