I am sure someone has researched this "low tech" and low energy cooling 
system. I have just seen them implemented and they surely work. The 
"culvert" I refer to is a round piece of formed concrete 3' diameter X 
3' long. There is a tongue on one end and a groove on the other end so 
they fit together well.
