Obviously you've been there David. However, (I hesitate to hype 
mega-corporations here), try the Grundfos SQ Flex if you want AC 
reliability and DC performance. Don't get me wrong; I believe the 
Lorentz is a hell of a good pump and is a huge improvement over some 
previous technologies :>( that we know so well; it's simply that 
Grundfos took the solar pump concept to a very logical and refined 
conclusion and make a pump that even full time well and pump guys are 
happy using.

Having been in the distribution end of solar pumps myself, I'm only too 
familiar with the problems that can take you back over and over again to 
find out why your customer isn't getting water. The SQ Flex pumps that 
I've sold and/or installed have performed flawlessly - with one 
exception - but one out of 10 seems acceptable to me after the old days 
of 9 out of 10.
