Same with us up this-a-way if we run in metal. The combiner boxes I 
referred to mount on the end of power rail and are generally pretty 
accessible. All SS hardware included. A handy place to transition from 
the USE -2 of your MC cables to THW-2 etc. and bare CU ground to 
insulated. Ya gotta do that in some sort of box anyway. Yes, you'd have 
to get a ladder to check a fuse, but how often does that happen? The 
upside is just one set of conductors in a home run. Nothing fits EVERY 
application or installation, does it? You are braver than I am to 
tackle a barrel tile roof.
