No advice on the wasps, but they don't like to be disturbed. I have used a
power washer which is non toxic, but just destroys the nest and leaves the
wasps kinda pissed.

I also just installed a Xantrex 3.0kw inverter and was also impressed. We
have been getting great output. The owner has it hooked to his pc and has
been logging data which I will be able to share soon. I think that it may be
the best inverter out price/watt. It is low profile, totally quite, and has
a really nice heat sinc. It was easy to install. Time will tell if they are
reliable....
