Hello Wrenches,
I have an AES GC-1000 that has been in the field operating with no
trouble for about four years. Recently, it started blowing the 10 amp string fuses.
It is connected to 8 Solarex MSX-120 modules. The string current should
never near the 10 amp fuse rating. After replacing the blown fuse, and testing
all PV and grid specs, the unit restarts and operates fine for a few more
weeks. I have not been able to see any correlation to temperature, high
insolation, etc.
Any thoughts or similar experiences to share would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Jim Grundy
