Hi y'All,
Jeff's coinop article is very interesting. Worth noting that the
laundromat in Vermont used Propane not Natural Gas, so the savings are
much more significant. The preheat tank and circulation schemes look
like a good design. I hope there are some internal baffles in the heat
exchangers to insure contact with the preheat coil. It is worth running
calculations on natural gas to see what investment is reasonable given
the improvement in efficiency reported in the article. This scheme looks
like a good candidate for adding Apricus solar thermal collectors to the
setup. I would just set the Solar loop up on a stainless flat plate heat
exchanger isolation loop and control with a differential controller.
