Hi All,

Many years back (1982) we installed a heat recovery system in a
laundromat that worked off the waste dryer heat. It was a
commercially available kit at the time. I'd have to do some research
on who made it. I'd be curious if it's still in service. (Anybody
in Middlebury, VT want to go check up on it?). My partner at the
time now is in Burlington, I may give him a call and see if he's
heard if it's still kicking.

It worked on a boiler/tank system and I do remember the literature
claiming very good payback and we were impressed with the quality of
the kit and ease of installation.

Also a quick internet search shows the Re-Cycoil system for drain
heat recovery for laundromats.

Hope that helps!

Best,

Jeff
