Nick,

The concept was fine, but we had quality and supply issues that caused
us to discontinue last year.

We also had marketing issues around people expecting miracles, not
understanding the principle of operation. The principle is that it
causes circulation of warmer water below the ice -- upward to melt ice
in the daytime and create a hole and (at least) maintain a thin spot in
the ice.

If the tank freezes solid, it won't work.

I will chime in again if I have any more info on this.

Meanwhile, I would take Allan's advice and also advise to make soil
berm around tank, wind breaks, etc.

Windy
