I have had good success with Power-Strut attached to the back of the box
and Power-Strut clamps with EPDM rubber-wrap to attached to a pole.

Probably a trivial question but I'm interested in your methods for 
mounting boxes on 8 inch pipes. We've used a welded on bracket where 
the owner had welding equipment and did the work. I've also seen 8 inch 
U-bolts but I'm looking for other solutions.
