We have sold many of the innovative Grundfos SQFlex systems and have had
only one failure. In northern New Mexico, we have a single ranch/customer
with 20 to 30 wells. He has been replacing positive displacement pumps with
these new well designed units.
One failed within a week of install, it was sent in for repair, we were
told that their was lignite or a coal- like bearing seam in the well, and
that this circumstance had hurt the pumping displacement mechanism. We were
not told much more than this, but a centrifugal pump was used in it's place.
