No - you cannot stack two 12 volt SW inverters for +/-12 vdc or 24 vdc 
system.  The interconnecting stacking cable is "ground" referenced (to 
the negative DC terminal of the inverter) which means that the signals 
would not be at the same level. You would fry the cable or the computer 
boards even...

It also would be easy to discharge the battery halves unequally since 
the inverters are powering separate loads.  

We did consider being able to do this with our OutBack inverters - but 
the amount of applications requiring this are pretty few...  

You might look at a dc-dc converter but for the cost you might consider 
upgrading the inverters to 24 vdc and selling the old ones off.
