I have noticed some GFCIs in my home will not reset when the inverter is in
search mode. I'm also somewhat sure they did not reset with the power off.
If the fridge just HAS to stay on the porch, you could swap the outlet for a
non-GFCI, using the "dedicated outlet" clause in the code. But safety and
most inspectors will want you to use a single outlet (not duplex) to prevent
Joe/Janet Homeowner from plugging the toaster into the second half of a
non-GFCI protected outlet and dropping it into the swimming pool....
