Doug

Good quality stainless hardware is a must. Anodized aluminum racks are
next. If you could use/find PVC disconnect switches, that would be
great. I haven't found a DC rated PVC disco to date. Anyone else find
one?
I also put a corrosion block spray over all mechanical connections to
add a layer of protection as well as an easier time to remove a bolt in
the future. We coat with a rag corrosion block and rub a dub all metal
enclosures here like troughs (gutters/wireways). By piercing one piece
of metal with a drill bit and create metal filings, you will see very
quickly that they turn to rust. We just finished a 25KW system on a
metal roof and we vacuumed after every penetration on the standing seam
roof as well as washed off the roof with hose and water. Rust never
sleeps in the tropics. It is like living on a boat.

Wrenches,
We do not normally install in a marine environment, but I have a project

within a few hundred feet of the ocean.
Are there any recommendations or considerations that I should make as
far as the panels go? Does any one have experience, either good or bad,

with oceanside panels. Obvious issues are salt and sand. Hurricanes
are also common at the site.
Thanks for your thoughts.
