Doug

We did a medium size install on an island off the Georgia cost about a year
ago for the Navy. In the sand right on the Atlantic. We had the racks
anodized and added extra legs to the racks. The modules were BP 160's Also
we used lots of concrete in the pilings for the legs. A month after the
install a hurricane came over it 90+MPH... Nothing happened. We did however
swamp a charge controller at that time

Wrenches,
We do not normally install in a marine environment, but I have a project
within a few hundred feet of the ocean.
Are there any recommendations or considerations that I should make as far as
the panels go? Does any one have experience, either good or bad, with
oceanside panels. Obvious issues are salt and sand. Hurricanes are also
common at the site.
Thanks for your thoughts.
