Another method to use for smaller light weight boxes is to use a powder
charge to "shoot" a threaded head into the pipe.  You then secure to the
heads with washers and nuts.  We use this method to mount j-boxes and
Outback PSPV's or PSSB's to our poles -- typically 8in sch 40 galvy pipe.

Real fast and secure.  You can get these at Ace Hardware.
