This is an excellent point-- that different systems require different mind 
sets.  Some of do only one type of PV or the other (grid-tie vs. off grid) 
and some do both.  It is a miracle that the grid-tie technology has come of 
age and is starting to see acceptance.  But we should not forget that 
different applications have different needs.
