Greetings,
  I recently installed a few smoke detectors in a new residence powered with 
a  Xantrex DR inverter, all the smokes were running hot an have since burned 
up, I actually heard crackling sounds coming from a couple of them just before 
I pulled them down.  The brand I was using was FireX, has the 9volt battery 
backup.  I figure they must be incomatable with the Modsine inverter.  Anybody 
have a similar problem, any sugestions?  A different manufacturer purhaps?
