I'll have to ring in on this topic----
For our company, working with SCE is almost always easy and
unimpeded. The SCE staff in the NEM office is small, efficient and
effective with most matters. The NEM process is quick, easy, and
nearly lacking in superfluous bureaucratic gabuligook. I would
describe Anaheim in a similar way.

For comparisn....
The PG&E staff are friendly, well intentioned, and helpful. Same
for SDG&E, LADWP, and Pasdena water & power. BUT these
other utilities seem to have very much more convoluted, difficult
processes. Take for example LADWP and your basic Sunny Boy
installation----their process calls for no fewer than THREE site
visit/inspections for each solar installation (talk about redundant!).
And there's PGE, which calls for a painfully long (and IMHO,
totally excessive) NEM contract.

Those are the utilities we've worked with.... anyway, just to be
positive, all the above do have cooperative, helpful staff. And
with SCE in particular, grid-tie solar does seem to be easy.
