This is due to the built-in 50 amp RMS AC output current limit of the
OutBack inverters. Each unit is putting out around 6000 watts when this
occurs (for a total peak of 24,000 watts AC - wow!). Under most
conditions the AC RMS voltage will not drop much when this occurs as we
typically are only current limiting at the "peaks" of the AC waveform.

This is a great way to verify the margin you have left in the system -
which is worth having on hand for future growth or tempeorary loads such
as tools.
It also demonstrates how the OutBack's can handle non-synmetric AC
loading without problems because of the autotransformer balancing
"trick" which shifts the AC loads around to balance the three inverters
(two paralleled at 120 VAC on L1 in series with a third one on L2 -
crazy sounding, but it works).
