Ideal unless you're trying for 100% uptime ;>

I like to use two strings of cells, individually protected with pullout fuseholders. This makes maintenance and replacements easy and safe.

Buss has a new line of Telpower fuses and disconnects which may be of interest to us <http://www.telpoweronline.com/>

The TPH series fuses <http://www.bussmann.com/library/bifs/5024.pdf> use smaller pullouts than Class T fuses which make them easier to fit in many applications. Once of our vendors offers a top terminal kit which includes these, putting the battery disconnect where it can protect the feeder cable from accidents.
