Outback HBX mode [RE-wrenches]

 Christopher,

 Thank you for your discription of HBX, it sounds
exactly how I usually run my SW with a lot of manual
intervention. I am curious about the actual switching
between grid and inverter. Is the switching
syncronized like the SW where the inverter is in phase
with the grid before transfer occurs, or is it simply
a relay transfer. If the later what is the effect to
appliences and is there a noticable flicker?
