PS I'm looking to get a digital camera. Any ideas or recommendations.

Hey Jay,

I bought an Olympus D-550. I has automatic flash, 2.8x optical zoom,
10x digital zoom, and has macro to focus to 8 inches (important for
photos of equipment interiors). This unit has 3 Megapixel but it
defaults to 2 megapixel and the two seems plenty sharp. At 3 MP you can
only get a shot or two on a memory card as such photos are a huge file.
In hindsight, I probably should have gotten the next model down which
only had 2 MP. I bought mine at Staples and for $300 it came with a 16
meg bite card and a free 64MB card as part of a sales promotion. I can
get about 20 photos on the smaller card and about three times that on
the larger card before I have to dump them into my computer or burn a
CD.

I'm not very computer savvy and what I liked most about it was that when
I plug it into my PC and turn the camera on, my computer automatically
said "you have pictures, what do you want to do with them". It was that
easy.

One warning, these cameras really eat up batteries.
