>How about installation time? With a crew of three using tilt up racks
(Direct Power Two Tier usually) we can easy install 24 >(even up to 30
recently) large frame modules in two days. This is from driving up to
the job through installing the racks, running conduit to the inverter
location, mounting modules, wiring, pulling feeders, testing and laying
down the racks. This results in a conduited installation without the
nagging question of MC failure. How does this compare with other crews?

William has obviously worked out some of the efficiency issues of
installation.

Other crews:

Team Solar in Sacramento:

40-KC120's, 2-SB2500's, 7:12 Slope, Tall two-story, AC Disco, PV Meter,
Inside Panel Interconnection with tight conduit run, Uni-Rac Solar
Mount, Tray Cable Interconnects, Nothing easy about this one including
access. The crane had to set-up on the neighbor's property.

CLEAN install. 4 guys, 6 hours. 9 AM-3PM Drive-up to Drive-off
including full Megger Testing, Certification Testing, and Operational
Startup. This was yesterday. I was there, with my bags on (their
normal Interconnection and Inverter / Disco guy was on vacation). The
homeowner had a couple of his guys from So-Cal fly in to monitor and
watch the whole thing. Apparently he has a company down there that does
vinyl siding, windows and PV????

After that 1 of the guys and I went and wrapped up another job that got
shut down due to bad weather.

A "Standard" 20 module, SB-2500 with the trimmings is taking this crew
4-5 hours on the job and they are doing clean work.

Just had to throw in my two cents. It's been really great being back
really Wrenching this past week, even though it's been just fill-in to
help a buddy out and training some of his guys more on the
Interconnection and Inverter/Disco stuff. 5 - 2kW systems on 4 sites in
4 days. Not bad...Maybe the Old Man hasn't lost it after all... ;-) By
the way, there are no Union guys on the Crew and there was Zero
overtime! 8 hour days including restocking the trucks, panelization and
driving. Efficiency sucks when you work by the hour and only get
32....Maybe that's why they have Prevailing Wage here.... lol

Pray for Sun!
