OK, Now I am really confused. Do these provide any protection or not? What
is our liability if damage to equipment from lightning if we use the Delta?
Has anybody actually tested different brands of arresters? I can see how a
spark gap in a jar of sand may discharge a major voltage to ground, but fail
to see how this would help protect sensitive equipment against anything
other than a direct strike. I don't remember any requirement for lightning
protection in the code."
