lightning arrestors [RE-wrenches]

Jeff,

I don't think there is anything in the code requiring
lightning arrestors or surge protection.  But it seems
to make sense if you are giving a 5 year parts and
service warranty.  If you install pv in California,
it's required to give a 5 year warranty in order for
your installation to qualify for the $4/watt energy
commission rebate.

I agree it is disheartening to see the Delta products
looking so questionable.  We use DiTech surge
protectors on the AC side of our systems, and haven't
had any inverters fried by utility line surges yet. 
Of course, this doesn't necessarily prove anything
either.
